           HOW TO GET RID OF TOXIC HABITS

Toxic habits really affect your productivity and your overall well-being. Here are some ways you can get rid if these such habits.

  1. Seeking external validation:
                                                    One of the worst habits anyone can probably have is the need of seeking external validation. You need to replace your external validation with your internal validation you need not anyone to tell you that you are doing great that's what your brain should automatically tell you. Here are some ways you can get rid of habit if seeking external validation:
  • Find your purpose: Be focused on your goal and work towards it. Don't care about what others are thinking. Be confident and self-assured, You are capable of achieving whatever you have dreamt of.

  • Give yourself a reward instead of seeking validation: If you fulfill a task and you want to be praised by other people for your great work do it instead find a way to reward yourself do something you like/something you don't get to do because of your busy schedule.

  • Stop listening to random feedback: Don't listen to everyone's opinion just expect the feedback of your mentors who actually know about it.

  • Word so hard that you don't have time to listen to others: Keep your day packed with tasks you have to do. keep yourself super busy so that you don't have time to give thought about anything about what people are thinking about you.

  • Learn to self-love: Those with a high degree of self-acceptance tend to need less validation from external sources. They have self-validation instead. Their inner voice is the only one they need to tell them they’re awesome!

  • Stop trying to be better than other people: There will always be someone better than you so instead of wasting time on becoming like them focus on your journey and how you can make a change instead of following someone's lie.

  • Realize that people don't care: People actually don't care about you at all. They are not giving you an opinion because they care about you.
  •      Alter your social media habits:

  • Stop caring about the ‘likes’.You liked it and posted it. That is what matters. Turn all social media notifications off.
    • Stop comparing your life with the influencers. They are only showing their best moments on camera.
    •  Post what you like, not what you think your followers will like.
    • Dont hesitate about sharing your opinions  
    • Keep your profile private if you don't want strangers to stalk you.
    • Try to follow people who have a positive vibe.
    • When you are with friends avoid checking social media.
    • Your followers don't determine your worth realize that.
    2. COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS:
                                                 Comparing yourself to others I like consuming poison. You need to realize that even if you have everything that person owns even then you won't be like them because they are different. Every human being is built differently, Even twins have different personality traits. Comparing yourself to others will over time result in you trying to turn into them and after wasting years you are going to fail miserably. Please don't compare yourself to others that is the worst habit person can ever have. You will become underconfident and never feel worthy of anything.
    3. UNHEALTHY LIVING HABITS:
                                                Your living habits should be healthy. Here are some unhealthy :
    • Not consuming vegetables
    • Not exercising 3 times a day at least
    • Smoking cigars, cigars, vapes, or pipes.
    • Not putting on sunscreen
    • Not flossing every day.
    4. NOT TAKING CARE OF YOUR MENTAL HEALTH:
                                            Taking care of mental health is extremely important. Here are some ways to take care of your mental health:
    • acknowledge your feelings.
    • journal your thoughts.
    • shake out your emotions,
    • set limits around the news.
    • work on a passion project and schedule virtual hangouts with your friends.
    5. GOSSIPING:
                            Gossips are worse than thieves because they steal another person's dignity, honest reputation, and credibility which are challenging to restore. Always remember you can't take back what you said. Dont, pull other people by doing such mischievous acts.
    6. NEGATIVE SELF-TALK:
                                          Negative self-talk really affects your ability to perform even super simple tasks. Your mind automatically tells you that you are not capable of doing that and you end up refusing many impurities that come your way. Here are some examples of negative self-talk and how you can replace them with positive self-talk

    • I am a bad person I made a mistake
    • I am not good enough to I am worthy and enough too.
    7. PROCRASTINATING:
                                             The key to beating procrastination is to find out what your specific reasons are for doing so and then address them to the core.
    • Reason 1: You seek perfectionism: Perfectionism limits the definition of success.
    • Reason 2:Fear of the unknown.: You will have to take action to know the result.
    • Reason 3:I will do it later mindset
    • Reason 4: Working on smaller tasks
    • Reason 5: You experience a lack of motivation
    • Reason 6:You often get distracted
    • Reason 7:You know the task will require hard work.
                                             
    8. NOT BEING YOUR AUTHENTIC SELF:
                                                                    Your life is not a performance, and by that I mean you don't need to play a character that works better for others than it does for yourself. Your life requires your authenticity. By creating a world around you based on the wrong things, you are moving farther from the containment, no matter how pleasant it looks from the outside. How to be your authentic self:
    • positive mindset
    • try saying no
    • set goals
    • embrace change
    • invest in yourself
    • emotional health
    • show up for yourself
    • spend 30 minutes alone
    • be kind to yourself
    • celebrate you
    • stay in your own lane
    • practice self-care
    • forgive yourself

    9. BAD FINANCIAL HABITS:
                                                    The way you handle money strongly determines your financial status. Your habits towards money are going to determine if you would be financially successful or if you would constantly battle financial crises. Not handling your finances in an organized way is going to keep you broke always.

    You may not even be conscious that you have certain bad money habits. Here are some ways you can get rid of bad habits:

    • Impulse buying is one of the bad financial habits to stop. It is a terrible loophole that causes financial instability and prevents you from growing your income. Most times, people fall victim to impulse buying because they fail to understand that it’s impossible to purchase everything.
    • Shopping for status: People shop for status to maintain a rich image in society. They buy expensive stuff that they don't even need to fit into the rich circle and to show the world that they can buy anything they want.
    • Not paying your credit card bills: This is the worst thing you can do. Not paying your monthly installments result in more interest and never-ending debts that will never let you save money because you will always have a debt to pay off.
    • Start saving money: You need to save money even if you are not earning much just save 2 percent of what you are earning.

    • A Good Budget: Always make a monthly budget so that you know clearly where you are going to use money and where you can save your money.

    10. EXESSIVE WORRYING:
                                                       Worrying is a normal part of life. Everyone will experience some worry daily. Worrying becomes a problem when it's excessive, negative, and takes a toll on all three aspects of health. Learn to manage excessive worrying today. How to determine it is excessive worrying:
    • If it disrupts daily activities and responsibilities.
    • If it takes a toll on your health
    • If you worry daily for extended periods.
    • If it leaves you feeling upset, distressed, or exhausted.

    11. BEING UNGRATEFUL:
                                               No matter how bad or good your life is, you should wake up every day thankful for your life, someone is desperately fighting for theirs. Instead of thinking about what you are missing think about things that you have that others dint have.
